Lost ~1600 (or more) scrobbles!

Today I noticed that it says 14,247 plays since 9 Dec 2006 on my profile page. But I had something like 15 800 or more!!! what's going on with this new last.fm? Fix it! There's no point in statistics when it's not accurate!

Staff work M-F and are based in London. So they may not be available for comment until Monday sometime.

I do know in the last two days there were some caching issues with some peoples track counters that fixed themselves.

If things aren't back to normal by monday, bump the thread again for a little exposure.

Note that your recent track pages have about 50 tracks/page and you have 318 pages which adds up to 15,000 plus. The scrobble data is not lost, just the track counter is off, so likely it is a simple cache issue and nothing to be concerned about.

me too
i was about 18.800 or more and yesterday turn to 11,912 :S
thats aint cool .. so they will fix the proplem ? and the tracks turn back ?

Sorry, no big worries, this is just a display issue - it happens sometimes that the counter "falls back" to an older value, which then corrects itself again after a while. Your counters should all be OK again now. :)

Any reason for this happening on such a frequent basis? My count "falls back" 3-5 times a week and that is just the time I notice the figures falling back.

I've been stuck in the 31,000s for what seems like over a month, which is very much wrong. In fact, it seems like it keeps going backwards - soon I'll be in the 30,000s, yet I hit 30,000 months ago. What the hell is going on?

Are you deleting anything from your library by any chance?

No, I don't think I've deleted anything at all from my library. I've deleted stuff before the site changed, but not after.

my counts are stuck at ~29.000 since a couple of months, same with my artist library which is stuck at ~1.990. it keeps counting for a while and then just pops back, i don't delete anything from my library.

I reached 50.000 on 30th of July. After two weeks of no scrobbling and with 500 tracks averaging a week, now I should have reached 53000 or something. Strangely I am still stuck at 50.400. This doesn't seem right. I hope it will get fixed soon.
