Ok, cool, I'll look out for them, but I guess I'm rather dependent on the Brussels library. Other libraries or shops don't seem to have his books. The colonial background was certainly a new and interesting thing, even if our opinion about some things (racial issues and slaves) is quite different.

Well in Dutch. My Portuguese ain't so dandy;) Yeah, witty certainly. In the liner notes they mention him being influenced by Laurence Sterne and that's certainly visible in this book. I find it a good thing. Laughing with the drudgery of everyday human life, that's the best kind of humour, I guess.
